Player Grants

NYSGA Junior Golf Grants are available to families who need assistance to lessen the financial hardship of having a child compete in a state championship.  The NYSGA Foundation Fund provides reduced tournament entries, as well as travel and lodging assistance to qualified families of players competing in the NYSGA Junior Boys' & Girls' Amateur Championships.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Application must be submitted three (3) weeks before tournament close of entries
  • New York State resident and US citizen
  • Household income generally less than $50,000 (additional factors considered - number of children, other potential source of funding, etc.)
  • Players who have not received assistance in the past will be given preference

 Acceptable Uses

  • Full or partial entry fee into the NYSGA Junior Boys' & Girls' Amateur Championship
  • Lodging costs during the duration of the championship
  • Travel costs associated with the championship

 Scholarship Amounts

  • More partial scholarship (partial reimbursements) are awarded than full scholarships
  • Scholarship amount based on need and number of applicants
