Junior golfer GRANTS

Removing financial barriers to unlock potential

The NYSGA Foundation’s Junior Player Grant Program supports junior golfers and families who need assistance to pursue competitive and developmental opportunities in the game. As the cost of junior golf continues to rise, many promising players are limited by lack of access—tournament entry fees, travel, coaching, and practice facilities. This program is designed to help close that gap.

Who the Program Supports

The program is focused on junior golfers enrolled in high school or younger. Applicants must reside in New York State and demonstrate meaningful engagement in the game. Support is awarded based on financial need, commitment, and the anticipated impact of assistance.

What Grant Support Can Be Used For

Grant support may be used for expenses directly related to junior golf development, including:

  • Tournament entry fees and qualifier fees
  • Travel and lodging related to competition
  • Coaching and instruction
  • Practice access (driving ranges, indoor facilities/simulators, and other practice resources)
  • Essential equipment when financial need is demonstrated

How Recipients Are Selected

Applications are reviewed holistically based on:

  • Demonstrated financial need and anticipated impact
  • Commitment and effort
  • Engagement in organized or competitive golf
  • Character and integrity

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by an independent Selection Committee to ensure support is delivered as efficiently as possible.
