Junior Development Grants

Removing financial barriers to unlock potential

The NYSGA Foundation Junior Development Grants Program supports junior golfers by removing financial barriers that can limit participation in competitive golf opportunities.

Competitive golf is expensive!

Multiple days of overnight travel, tournament entry fees, coaching, access to play golf and practice - costs that add up quickly. Junior Development Grants provide need-based financial assistance to eligible juniors within the NYSGA AGA territory who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to competitive golf.

Eligible Applicants:

  • 18 years or younger as of December 31, 2026
  • Live in the NYSGA's membership territory
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Actively pursuing competitive golf

Eligible juniors may apply annually while they meet these requirements.

Eligible Uses of Funds

Grant support may be used for expenses directly related to competitive junior golf development, including:

  • Tournament entry fees (including qualifiers)
  • Travel and lodging
  • Coaching and instruction
  • Practice facility access
  • Essential equipment

Awards are determined based on demonstrated financial need, alignment with program purpose, and available funding. All application information is confidential.
