The NYSGA Scholarship FundThe NYSGA Scholarship award covers up to four (4) years of undergraduate study or for study at an accredited trade school. After the initial award, students submit bi-annual reports (transcripts and class schedules) showing they are continuing their education.
A candidate must demonstrate financial need and be working their second season in "service to golf" at a New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) full-service or participating member club. "Service to golf" includes those staff members working in the golf shop, bag room, golf course superintendent's crew, or food and beverage operations.
How to Apply
1. Complete the online application (click here) by July 13, 2022.
2. Candidates selected to be interviewed will be sent a link to upload supporting documents described below.
a. High School transcript and SAT or ACT scores (if applicable)
b. College transcript, if applicable
c. Copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR)
d. Copy of Financial Aid Letter
e. Letter of recommendation from club official
Mission and History
The mission of the NYSGAF Scholarship Fund is to award scholarships to employees of NYSGA member clubs with demonstrated financial need. Over $500,000 has been awarded to students from NYS since the Scholarship Fund's inception in 1967.
