About the Series
The NYSGA Amateur Series is a season-long series of individual handicapped stroke play tournaments (gross and net) administered at top private and public member clubs throughout upstate New York each golf season.
These one-day events, open to NYSGA members, provide the opportunity to compete against peers at a similar skill level, gain exclusive access to premier private clubs, play in a competitive format (in both net and gross) under the USGA Rules of Golf, and most importantly, create friendships with fellow golfers from around New York.
During each tournament, players are broken down into divisions:
Men's (all ages)
Men's Senior (55+)
Men's Super Senior (65+)
Women's (all ages)
Players are then flighted based on the number of participants in a division and each player's handicap index. Within those respective divisions/flights, players have the chance to earn pro shop prizes (for both net and gross) as well as a chance to earn a spot at the year-end championship. For more information, read the complete Terms of the Competition.
