The NYSGA’s Foundation Membership Program, established in 2021, raises money from club members or individuals to fund scholarships for NYSGA member club employees. The purpose of the program is to support deserving students while also helping our club's facilities attract and retain employees.
Donations raised by supporting clubs are targeted to support of their employees.
NYSGA staff are responsible for the administrative responsibilities, from working with your club to solicit donations via an opt-in or opt-out method, encouraging employees to apply, processing applications, and sending annual reviews/marketing materials for your club to use in promotion.

Individuals are our greatest current contributors. Help support your club's employees by joining the program at one of our club levels. When the Member Club achieves $1,000 in donations their employees become elgible for the NYSGA Scholarship through the Membership Program.
Eligible students must be in their second season of employment with an NYSGA member club, should demonstrate strong academic success and require financial assistance. Once awarded, an NYSGA Scholarship may be renewed each year for a total of four years. Annual grants will maintain each year depending upon academic standards and the continued need for financial aid.
$30,000 Support in 2021
When you see a student at your club working hard or doing something special for you, think about contributing. We always need your help and we will appreciate it for years to come. This past year of 2020 we were able to award 23 scholarships totaling $30,000 with funds raised from just individuals. We aspire to increase these numbers, now with clubs on board, to exceed $100,000 per year by 2025.
