Yarnall Receives BDGA Betsy Ulmer Scholarship
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo District Golf Association is proud to announce that Gwendolyn Yarnall has been awarded the Betsy Ulmer Girls Golf Scholarship. Making the presentation were James Mohan of the Buffalo District Golf Association board of directors and Mrs. Ulmer herself. Betsy has long been a participant and champion of golf in western New York, and her tireless devotion to the expansion of access for girls to the game includes this annual scholarship.
Gwendolyn Yarnall is an accomplished junior golfer who has been a participant in BDGA events for several years. She won the 2023 Erie Couny Girls' Amateur Championship, and followed that up with a victory at the 2024 Erie County Women's Amateur Championship. In addition to golf, Yarnall plays volleyball and tennis. She is a golf and dance instructor at the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora.
Gwendolyn will continue her studies and competitive career at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.
