Edholm Captures Erie County Title in Record Setting Fashion
BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Ryan Edholm of Pendleton Creek GC fired a second round course-record 59, and a tournament-record two-day total of 15-under 123 en route to winning the 2023 Erie County Amateur Championship at Grover Cleveland Golf Course. Edholm entered the final round one stroke off the lead, but his record-setting performance earned him an eight stroke victory over Chuck Panepinto of Sheridan Park GC, who carded a two-day total of 7-under 131.
Kristina Visniesky of Harvest Hill GCcaptured the 2023 Erie County Women's Amateur Championship. Visniesky defeated Allison Gasuik of Cloverbank CC in a sudden death playoff after both competitors finished with a two-day total of 15-over 159.
PJ Alterio of Niagara Falls CC carded rounds of 68 and 68 to edge out Bob Rosen of CC of Buffalo by 3 strokes to win the 2023 Erie County Senior Amateur Championship.
Tyler Delisanti of Transit Valley CC carded rounds of 64 and 67 to finish 7-under-par for the tournament, edging out Jack Tebeau of Crag Burn GC by 2 strokes to capture the 2023 Erie County Boys' Championship.
Gwendolyn Yarnall of Crag Burn GC fired a two-day total of 7-over 151 to defeat Tatiana Tutko of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY to capture the 2023 Erie County Girls' Championship.
