BDGA Junior Stroke Play Champions Crowned
FORESTVILLE, N.Y. -- Alexander Schickling of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY captured the BDGA Boys' Junior Stroke Play title after finishing with an impressive two-day total of 7-under-par, 137 at Tri County Country Club on Thursday. Schickling managed to hold off Jack Tebeau of Crag Burn Golf Club, who birdied five of his final six holes to finish the tournament at 5-under-par, 139.
In the Girls' Junior Division, Sydnee Hoffman of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY finished at 27-over-par, 171 to complete the comeback victory over round 1 leader and 2022 BDGA Sub-Jr. Girls' Stroke Play Champion Jocelyn Wintersteen of Cassadaga Country Club. A strong front nine and clutch pars on her final two holes sealed the one-stroke victory for Hoffman.
In the Boys' Sub-Junior Division, Connor Jackson of East Aurora Country Club followed up his 2022 runner-up finish with a 10 stroke victory over Padraic Schamberger of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY. Jackson fired a 5-over-par, 149 to claim the title.
