Donner threw up his 67 on Friday after an opening-round even-par 72. He was nearly flawless, with just one bogey on the 15th hole. His front-nine 31 included five birdies; four of them coming in consecutive fashion from holes 6-9. He added another on 12 before his bogey on 15. He sits at five-under overall for the championship,

Mauro, on the other hand, flipped his scores with Donner, posting his 67 on Thursday and 72 on Friday. He converted five birdies during his even-par second round, though bogeyed three holes that he had previously birdied in the first round (holes five, 14 and 18).

And then there’s Hanes, who just broke par on Thursday with a 71 then responded with a bogey-free 68 on Friday to jump six spots up to the top of a crowded leaderboard. Hanes birdied holes four, six, eight and ten, showcasing his impressive iron and wedge game by not missing a green in regulation throughout the entire second round.

His front-nine 33 on Friday is his best nine-hole stretch of the championship thus far.

Jacob Katz, who held a share of the lead after round one, currently sits in second place, three strokes behind the trio of leaders at two-under. Following him is Ethan Collins, who has put together rounds of 73-70 to sneak into a share of third place alongside Daniel Weimer (69-74). Each sit at one-under overall.

The Women’s Division teed off for its first round of the 36-hole BDGA Women’s Individual Championship. Gwendolyn Yarnall, who recently won the Erie County Women’s Amateur, led the way with an opening-round 77.

Jocelyn Wintersteen trails closely behind with a 79 to kick off her quest for a trophy. Allison Gasuik shot 80 to sit in solo third place as the field heads into their final round on Saturday.
