Tebeau Victorious at BDGA Junior Match Play
TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- Jack Tebeau of Crag Burn GC defeated Cole Jones of East Aurora CC 2 up in the final match of the 2024 BDGA Junior Match Play Championship.
Tebeau fired a 70 (-1) in the qualifying round to earn medalist honors. His road to the title included victories over Rogan Kaifas, RJ Delisanti and Landon Arnold.
In the Girls' 18u Match Play Championship, Eliana Wierzbowski of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY defeated Charlotte Occhino of Orchard Park CC 4&3 in the final match. Wierzbowski defeated Hanna Adymy of Cloverbank CC 4&3 to advance into the championship match.
All entry fees for the Girls' 18u participants were covered by the Diane Fermoile-McAvoy Fund.
In the Sub-Junior division, Michael Jordan of Crag Burn GC defeated Braeden Lee of Lockport Town & CC 3&1 in the final match. This is Jordan's second consecutive 14 & under match play title.
The tournament was contested over three days at Sheridan Park Golf Course.
