Jones, Jordan and Brady have become familiar faces in the winner’s circle this summer. All three of them just won the BDGA Junior Match Play Championship.

BOYS’ 18U DIVISION

For Jones, who won the Boys’ 18U trophy, he was one of just three players in his division to fire a round under par, which came in the first round (71). Jones rolled in four birdies, two on each nine, to put himself at the top of the leaderboard alongside Ryan Kelly, who was the second player of the day to post a round in the red.

The two had four players behind them within striking distance as they approached the second day. Jones continued to play error-free golf, with a bogeyless front-nine 34 (his best nine-hole stretch of the championship) that included a pair of birdies on eight and nine.

Kelly, on the other hand, started to slip away. Despite converting three birdies himself, he posted two bogeys and a double-bogey to finish his front-nine over-par and give Jones a three-stroke lead headed into the final nine.

Jones, despite posting zero birdies throughout the back nine, kept a steady pace of pars to maintain his cushion. His lone two mistakes came on holes 12 and 18, which he bogeyed. For the most part, though, Jones was able to cruise to four-stroke victory, closing out an even-par 72 final round to finish at one-under 143 overall for the championship.

Kelly finished in second place at three-over, followed by Adam Cichowski (+3), Landon Arnold (+5), Dylan Brooks (+7) and JJ Murphy (+7).

GIRLS’ 18U DIVISION

Wasik, who won the 2024 NYS Girls’ 14U Junior Amateur Championship, won at Orchard Park in wire-to-wire fashion. She established a seven-stroke lead after day one, thanks to a three-over 75 performance. She converted birdies on holes one, three and eight. Her opening nine holes (35) ended up being her best stretch of the championship.

She birdied the first hole again to kick off her second round, then posted two more on holes four and seven to conclude her scoring. Wasik proved impossible to keep up with, finishing her second round with an 80. Overall, she shot 11-over 155, 20 strokes better than the next lowest scorer.

Eliana Wierzbowski finished in second place, followed by 2025 BDGA Jr Match Play champion Charlotte Occhino in third place. Bianca Adymy finished in fourth place, right above Hanna Adymy in fifth.

BOYS’ 14U DIVISION

Jordan, who already has one BDGA Boys’ 14U Player of the Year moniker to his name, could have already locked up his second award after successfully defending his title at Orchard Park. This is his second consecutive year winning multiple BDGA titles, having also done so in 2024.

At Orchard Park, he finished at two-under 142 as the only player in the field to finish under par. He was also one of two players to log a round under par, doing so in the first round when he shot a 70. His front nine was flawless, with birdies on four, six and nine and zero bogeys for a 33. He posted two more birdies on 12 (which came after back-to-back bogeys on 10 and 11) and 17 (two holes after his third bogey of the day on 15).

Alongside Jordan at the top of the leaderboard was Padraic Schamberger. The two would go head-to-head on the final day. Jordan remained steady, racking up pars to start to separate himself from Schamberger, who was struggling to make a par.

Jordan shot an even-par 36 on the front, while Schamberger put up a 40. Jordan’s lead would not falter as he put up another 36 on the back to finish the round at even-par. Schamberger responded to a less than ideal front-nine with a back-nine 37. He finished in solo second place at three-under overall.

Brady Bilkey (+16) finished in third place. Timmy Ray (+25) finished in fourth place and Carter Kismierski (+28) finished in fifth.

GIRLS’ 14U DIVISION

Brady captured her second BDGA championship of the summer, with an impressive one-under 71 across two nine-hole rounds. Brady shot 35 in her first round, with birdies on holes one and five and a bogey on the sixth. In her second round, despite a double-bogey on the fifth hole and a bogey on the seventh, Brady was able to bring her score back to even-par on the day, thanks to three birdies on holes one, six and nine.

Isabella Sieracki took home runner-up honors, followed by Isabella Rivera, Savannah Clearly and Elise Brady.
