Ignaczak Wins Rain Shortened Erie County Amateur Championship
ELMA, N.Y. – Cary Ignaczak (Gowanda CC) captured the rain shortened 2019 Erie County Amateur Championship hosted by Elma Meadows Golf Course. Ignaczak carded a 1-over par 71 to edge out Joseph Napoli (Chestnut Meadows Men’s Club) by one stroke.
Anthony Delisanti (Willowbrook GC) won the Boys’ Junior division by shooting a 1 over-par 71 to beat Mitch Jeffe (East Aurora CC) by one stroke on the 18th hole.
Jeff Schauger (River Oaks GC) won the Mens’ Senior division with a 3 over-par 73, edging out three players who tied at 76.
Samantha Gaffney (Brookfield CC) won the Womens’ division edging out Emily Isaacson (Chautauqua GC) by two strokes.
Emily Kase (Tan Tara GC) won the Girls’ Junior division with a 6 over-par 79 to beat Victoria Leach (NYSGA eClub of WNY) by five strokes.
