FULL BDGA SEASON SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR 2024
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The 2024 BDGA tournament schedule has been announced. Registration will open on Wednesday, April 3rd at 12pm. To view the full schedule, click here.
The 2024 schedule will feature the 101st BDGA Individual Championship which will be hosted by Park Country Club. This will be the club's 5th time hosting the BDGA Individual, having previously hosted the event in 1950, 1960, 1969, and 2003. All non-exempt players will be required to qualify for the championship. The qualifier will be held July 29th at Tri-County Country Club.
The 2024 BDGA Mid-Amateur Championship will be held at the Country Club of Buffalo on May 14-15. The field will be selected in order of players' USGA Handicap Index as of May 9th, 2024. Remaining players will be placed on a waitlist.
Crag Burn Golf Club will host the 2024 BDGA Match Play Championship, held August 8-10. Seeding will be based on the 2024 points standings. If players are not on the points standings, they will be ordered by USGA Handicap Index as of the entry deadline.
In 2024, all entry fees for junior girls wishing to play in BDGA events will be covered by the Fermoile-McAvoy fund. To read the full story, click here.
Junior golfers will continue to be able earn points through the WNYPGA Junior Tour to represent the BDGA at the Williamson Cup. The BDGA will be counting a player’s top three (3) finishes at WNYPGA Junior Tour events conducted at clubs within the BDGA region*. In addition, players will also have the opportunity to earn points towards the WNYPGA Player of the Year (POY) and the WNYPGA Tour Championship through the BDGA Junior Stroke Play Championship. The BDGA Stroke play will be considered the 4th Major Championship on the WNYPGA Junior Tour Schedule.
The BDGA will continue to conduct 3 major junior championships; The BDGA Jr. Stroke Play Championship, BDGA Jr. Match Play Championship, and the Erie County Amateur Championship.
*To earn points to represent the BDGA at the Williamson Cup, players must compete in the 16-18 year old division of the WNYPGA Junior Tour.
