Erie County Amateur Champions Crowned
ELMA, N.Y. -- Ryan Edholm of Pendleton Creek GC fired a final round 63 (-7) en route to winning the 2024 Erie County Amateur Championship at Elma Meadows Golf Course. His two-day total of 134 (-6) was enough for a four-stroke victory over second place finisher Billy Hanes of Crag Burn GC. This is Edholm's second consecutive Erie County Amateur victory, having won in 2023 at Grover Cleveland GC.
Gwendolyn Yarnall of Crag Burn GC captured the 2024 Erie County Women's Amateur Championship. Gwendolyn's two-day total of 143 (+1) earned her a 13-stroke victory over her sister Caroline Yarnall of Crag Burn GC.
Mac Quinn of Springville CC captured the 2024 Erie County Boys' Championship with an impressive two-day total of 132 (-8). Quinn fired back to back under par rounds to secure a 9-shot victory. Finishing in second place was Jack Tebeau of Crag Burn GC.
Tatiana Tutko of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY shot a two-day total of 157 (+15) to capture the 2024 Erie County Girls' Championship. Finishing in second place was Claire Brady of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY
Brian Kumiega of CCB won the 2024 Erie County Senior Amateur Championship with a two-day total of 144 (+4). Finishing tied for second was Kevin Kaszuba of Shorewood CC and Bob Rosen of CCB.
