Delisanti Victorious at BDGA Junior Match Play Championship

TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- Tyler Delisanti of Transit Valley CC defeated defending champion Jacob Dantonio of Crag Burn GC 2&1 in the final match of the 2023 BDGA Junior Match Play Championship.
Delisanti, the number 13 overall seed after qualifying, defeated a higher seed in each of his matchups. His road to the title included victories over Halim Habib, Ryan Kates, and Cole Jones.
In the Sub-Junior division, Michael Jordan of Crag Burn GC defeated Connor Jackson of East Aurora CC 1 up in the final match. Jordan defeated Jordan Kelly of Shorewood CC by a score of 7&5 to advance into the finals.
The tournament was contested over three days at Sheridan Park Golf Course.
