BDGA Junior Stroke Play Champions Crowned
LOCKPORT, N.Y. -- Cole Jones of East Aurora CC captured the BDGA Boys' Junior Stroke Play title after finishing with a two-day total of 144 (E) at Willowbrook Golf Club on Wednesday. Jones managed to hold off Mac Quinn of Springville CC, who finished second with a two day total of 147 (+3).
In the Girls' Junior Division, Sydnee Hoffman of Tri-County CC secured her second straight Girls' Junior title. A strong second round propelled her to victory after being tied for the round 1 lead with Eliana Weirzbowski of the NYSGA eClub of Western NY.
In the Boys' Sub-Junior Division, Padraic Schamberger of the NYSGA eClub - Western NY followed up his 2023 runner-up finish by firing a two-day total of 154 (+10), to claim the 14u title. Michael Jordan of Crag Burn GC finished two shots back at 156 (+12).
In the Girls' Sub-Junior Division, Claire Brady of East Aurora CC was victorious with a two-day, 18-hole total of 89 (+17). Charlotte Occhino of Orchard Park CC finished second, shooting a two-day total of 91 (+19).
