BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo District Golf Association (BDGA) is pleased to announce its 2026 competitive schedule, offering nine events across Western New York.

TEAM EVENTS

The season kicks off on May 4 with the BDGA Two-Man Scramble, which will be held at Niagara Frontier GC. The Club, which dates to 1930 and is situated near the shore of Lake Ontario in Youngstown, has been recognized as one of the best courses in Western New York.

SIGNATURE/EXEMPTION EVENTS

Each of the four BDGA major championships carry exemptions into the corresponding New York State Golf Association state championship. 

The 103rd BDGA Individual Championship heads to East Aurora CC. The winner will receive automatic exemption into the 2027 NYS Men's Amateur as well as the 2026 NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship (if age-eligible).

The Mid-Amateur Championship will be conducted at Park CC on May 11-12. Founded in 1903, Park CC features a C.H. Alison-designed course built along the rolling terrain of the Ellicott Creek floodplain and hosted the 1934 PGA Championship. The winner will receive automatic exemption into the 2026 NYS Men's Mid-Amateur at Country Club of Buffalo.

The Junior Match Play Championship will be hosted at Sheridan Park GC in Tonawanda from July 14-16. Dating back to the 1930s, Sheridan Park is a walkable municipal that hosted the 1962 U.S. Amateur Public Links and is regarded as one of the premier public courses Western New York had to offer. 

The Junior Stroke Play Championship follows at Willowbrook GC in Lockport from July 22-23. The boys' and girls' winners (as well as the boys’ runner-up) of this event will receive automatic entry into the 2027 NYS Boys' & Girls' 18U Junior Amateur Championships.

Registration for the 2026 season will open on Wednesday, April 1 at 12pm.
