Three Compete in 58th U.S. Senior Women's Amateur
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (UPDATED: 8/26) – All three New York players missed the cut after two rounds at the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
Over the two rounds, Liliana Ruiz-Munoz came in at 163, Mary Jo Kelly shot 166, and Teresa Cleland shot 169.
The cut, to the low 64 players who advanced to match play fell at 161.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Three players from New York State competed in the 58th U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Cedar Rapids Country Club, August 24 – 29, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The trio includes seven-time NYSGA champion (3 Mid-Ams, 2 Senior Ams, 2 Senior Four-Balls) Teresa Cleland of Syracuse, 1980 NYS Women's Amateur champion Mary Jo Kelly of Loudonville, and Liliana Ruiz-Munoz of Yorktown Heights.

The U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur has 132 players in the field. Players will compete over 36 holes of stroke play, after which a cut of the low 64 players will be applied. Those who make the cut will advance to the first of six rounds of match play before a champion is declared on Thursday.
The par-72 layout will setup at 5,732 yards.
Cleland, qualified at Tuscarora Golf Club in Syracuse, N.Y. after shooting 76.
Kelly, was one of ten players to qualify out of The Kittansett Club in Marion, Massachusetts. She earned her spot in a 6-for-4 playoff after carding an 83.
Ruiz-Munoz, who’s from Columbia and now lives in New York, was the medalist at The Kittansett Club qualifier in Marion, Massachusetts and shot 75.
