Swedick Completes Three Peat of NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championship
REXFORD, N.Y. – For the third consecutive season, Kennedy Swedick has won the NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championship at The Edison Club.

With a 70-66 tournament (-8), the senior from The Albany Academies won the 2024 championship in a landslide, five stroke victory. Her six under final round was punctuated by an eagle on the Par 4, 8th as well as three back nine birdies. The University of Virginia commit, who claimed the 2022 NYS Women's Amateur, made only three bogeys across both rounds of the tournament.
Emma Lee, a junior from Scarsdale HS, finished in solo second with a to par gross score of three under par. Lee, then a sophomore, was also the runner-up to Swedick in last year’s NYSPHSAA championship.
Dannah Smith rounded out the podium with a three over performance, highlighted by a final round 69. Eighth-grader Hayden Knapp from South Glens Falls (recently competed in the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National) finished tied in fourth place with Byam Hills freshman Zara Gardam at four over.
Players qualified for state championships via sectional qualifying.
