ABOUT THE VENUE

Country Club of Buffalo, as we know it now, was designed by NYSGA Hall of Fame member Donald Ross in 1926. The course was improved several times thanks to efforts from Robert Trent Jones, Geoffrey St. John Cornish, and William Craig Schreiner. In 2004, Golfweek Magazine noted the course in its list of Top 100 Classic Courses in America.

In 2012, the club restored the course to the original Donald Ross-design thanks to aerial photography and sketches from the 1920s. The modern course celebrates its centennial this year and hosts its first NYS Championship.
