NYSGA loses past president Bob Biviano
Robert "Bob" Biviano passed away on Wednesday, April 13 at the age of 72. For the few who did not know Bob, he was a beloved member of the NYSGA family. He served 14 years on the executive committee, and as the president of the association in 2006-07. Most recently he worked as the president of the New York State Golf Foundation, the association's charitable arm.
When it came to the Rules of Golf, Bob was one of the best at the NYSGA. He was generous with his time and knowledge, working with many fledgling rules officials to help them better understand the complexities within the Rules. Most will remember Bob for his quick wit and humor, which was often displayed at tournaments over the radio.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 17 from 3-7:00pm and the funeral mass is Monday, April 18 at 11:00am. Both services are at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church on Walworth Road in Ontario, NY.
