NYSGA HOF'er Dottie Pepper Gets Promotion at CBS Sports
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. – Saratoga Springs native Dottie Pepper, who’s been working as an on-course analyst for CBS Sports since 2015, will be facing a promotion in 2020.
The 2018 New York State Golf Hall of Fame Inductee, will replace Peter Kostis as the lead on-course analyst when the network begins its golf coverage in 2020. The network made the announcement on Tuesday, and her first appearance in the new role will be during Jan. 25-26’s PGA Farmers Insurance Open.

The former NYS Girls’ Junior (’81, ’83) & Women’s Amateur (’83) champion began her career in broadcasting in 2005. She started as the lead LPGA analyst for the Golf Channel. From 2004-2012, she was an on-course commentator/analyst for NBC Sports for the LPGA, Champions, PGA and USGA events. She followed with a quick stint with ESPN in 2013 before joining the CBS team.
Pepper enjoyed a prosperous career on the LPGA Tour, competing professionally from 1987 until the early 2000’s. She racked up seventeen tour events including two majors, played on six Solheim Cup teams, among other accomplishments.
When she’s not traveling for work, she still calls Saratoga Springs her home, where she enjoys gardening, playing rounds at Saratoga Golf & Polo, and leading youth golf development programs at her childhood course, Brookhaven Golf Club in nearby Porters Corners, N.Y.
