Mitchell & Pizzutelli Earn Medal During 9th U.S. Four-Ball Qualifying at Wanakah
HAMBURG, N.Y. -- Sectional qualifying for the 2024 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship was conducted by the New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) at Wanakah Country Club on Tuesday, September 19.

Thirty eight sides (76 players) competed for two qualifying places and two alternate positions into next year's championship, which will be hosted by the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Pa.
The side of Joe Mitchell and Jimmy Pizzutelli of Buffalo medaled at 9-under 63, collecting nine birdies and no bogeys on the Willie Watson design.
Tied at 66 were sides Tom Mandel of Tampa, Fla. (from New Hartford) and Chris Yustin of Buffalo, along with Corey Marshall of Webster and Sean Paul Owen of Horseheads. Mandel / Yustin took the second qualifying spot on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff.
Marshall / Owen are the First Alternate team, while Phil Arci and Simon Mcinnis of Canada will be the Second Alternate team.
The course setup at 7,035 yards and played to a par of 72.
