Luke Lynch Named Manager of Member Events
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. — The New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Luke Lynch as Manager, Member Events.
Lynch, who has worked in an internship capacity with the Association for the past two years, will be responsible for designing, launching and operating the NYSGA’s expanding portfolio of member-facing golf events. His work will focus on creating accessible, engaging and inclusive programming that strengthens connections with NYSGA members across the state and enhances the overall value of membership.

Lynch will lead the planning and execution of a year-round schedule of non-championship member events, including social, recreational, developmental and team-based formats. He will oversee all operational aspects of these events, from venue coordination and registration to on-site management and post-event evaluation, while ensuring each experience meets NYSGA standards for professionalism, fairness and member service.
“This role represents a significant investment in how we serve and connect with our members by building on our existing event offerings,” said NYSGA Director of Operations, Andrew Hickey. “Luke has earned our trust through his incredible work over the past two seasons, and we’re confident in his ability to lead this space with creativity, care, and a deep understanding of what makes a great member experience. We’re excited to see him take ownership of this program and help expand how golfers engage with the NYSGA across the state.”
Lynch will also continue to support the NYSGA’s Amateur Series program, collaborating with the Rules & Competitions team on strategic planning and on-site operations as needed.
Working alongside regional associations, including the Buffalo District Golf Association, Syracuse District Golf Association and Triple Cities Golf Association, Lynch will additionally facilitate co-delivered and cross-promoted programming throughout New York State.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with the NYSGA in this new role,” said Lynch. “The Association’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences for all members really resonates with me, and I’m excited to help fill the gap for NYSGA members who may not engage with us through championships.”
Lynch previously served two years with the NYSGA as part of the USGA P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program, first as an operations intern and later as a competitions fellow. During that time, he gained extensive experience in tournament preparation, event administration and on-site operations while supporting championships and qualifiers statewide.
A native of Garden City, N.Y., Lynch is a 2024 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Club Management. His background in the golf industry includes work on the Cherry Valley Club grounds crew, an operations role at the 2023 PGA Championship, and operational positions at the 2023 and 2024 Masters Tournaments.
