Three Qualify out of Yahnundasis for 71st U.S. Junior
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- Alejandro Madariaga of Mexico, Jeremy Sisson of Skaneateles and Ian Rivers of East Syracuse qualified for the 71st U.S. Junior Amateur Championship during sectional qualifying at Yahnundasis Golf Club on Friday, June 22.
The trio will head to the championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfiled, N.J. on July 16 - 21.

Madariaga and Sisson shared medalist honors carding 1-under 70s Friday at Yahnundasis Golf Club while Rivers carded an even 71.
The first alternate will be Jason Lohwater of Rochester, who was unable to capitalize on a two-hole playoff with Rivers for the third and final spot after a tie at 71. The second alternate is Harrison Ornstein of Naples, Florida who came in at 72.
84 players attempted to qualify for the three available spots and two alternate spots into this year’s championship. The course was setup at 6,811 yards and playing to a par of 71.
