Swedick, who was the 2022 NYS Amateur Champion, will be making her third appearance at a US Girls Junior. The Virginia Cavaliers commit capitalized on the Par 5s, carding a birdie on three of the four Par 5s Seven Oaks had to offer. The reigning NYSPHSAA champion closed out her round with birdies on two of her last three holes.
It was a day to remember for Nordman, of Ottawa, Canada. A quiet, yet clinical one under round took a turn with a slam dunk, hole in one on the 14th hole. In addition to the ace, Nordman made only one bogey on the day.
Coming in with two rounds of even par 72, Katlynn Smith of Palenville and Luning Yang of Hong Kong, China will serve as the pair of alternates.
El Caballero Country Club in Los Angeles will play host to this year’s US Girls Amateur.
