The 2026 New York State Golf Association Amateur Series closed with its culminating event, the Amateur Series Championship, hosted at the Teugega Country Club.
The top-120 players on the season-long points list were invited, and 95 players from around the state competed in the twenty-fifth and final event of the NYSGA Amateur Series season.
The championship was the culmination of a season-long points race, where hundreds of amateur players from around New York State competed in handicapped tournaments for prizes awarded in both gross and net, acquiring points (based on their net finishes) throughout the schedule with hopes of qualifying for the championship. Point totals were calculated based on the sum of each individual player’s top-5 tournament finishes in 2026.
At the post-championship banquet and awards ceremony, in addition to handing out gift certificates and winner trophies, the four net division winners went home with special NYSGA Amateur Series golf bags courtesy of our friends at Jones Sports Co.
