RESULTS: 2023 NYSGA Amateur Series Championship at Crag Burn
EAST AURORA, N.Y. – The 2023 New York State Golf Association Amateur Series closed with our season-ending championship on Monday, September 25 at Crag Burn Golf Club.
The top-120 players on the season-long points list were invited, and 90 players from around the state competed in the twenty-third and final event of the 2023 NYSGA Amateur Series season!
The championship was the culmination of a season-long points race, where hundreds of amateur players from around New York State competed in handicapped tournaments for prizes awarded in both gross and net, acquiring points (based on their net finishes) throughout the schedule with hopes of qualifying for the championship. Point totals were calculated based on the sum of each individual player’s top-5 tournament finishes in 2023.
At the post-championship banquet and awards ceremony, in addition to handing out gift certificates and winner trophies, four lucky players went home with special NYSGA Amateur Series golf bags courtesy of our friends at Jones Sports Co! The winners were selected through a drawing pool, with all the players who qualified for the end-of-the-year championship.
