Deng, of Short Hills, finished at 1-under 70 on the 6,070-yard layout, three-strokes ahead of Kennedy Swedick, of Albany who is the first-alternate, and Amelie Phung, of Forest Hills who finished second-alternate.
Deng bogeyed the first hole, but bounced back and played the rest of the course 2-under, leaving no doubt of her qualifying. She totaled two birdies on the round.
The 13-year-old was the only player in her field to score under par on the tricky Donald Ross layout and has qualified for her first national championship.
Swedick previously qualified for the U.S. Girls' Junior out of the NYSGA-conducted qualifier at Teugega in 2022, and Yahnundasis GC in 2021. She was also the 2022 NYS Women's Amateur Champion.
Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado will host this year’s national tournament from July 17-22.
