Moore's Monthly: Happy Holidays
A monthly column from the NYSGA’s Executive Director, Bill Moore
2023 was a great year for golf in upstate NY, and I was glad to see so many people out enjoying themselves at our member clubs this season. I would especially like to congratulate those of you who played a ridiculous amount of golf this season. You folks are an inspiration!
2024 is right around the corner and with it are some changes to the World Handicap System which we are currently highlighting on the NYSGA website and will continue to talk about in the coming months. If you are interested in those changes, you can see them here. For the first time in four years I will be hosting some seminars to discuss these changes and review all the Rules of Handicapping, so if you are interested in learning more please keep an eye out for that information in the next couple of months.
Our Championship staff is locking up the last few sites for our events and we will be visiting some great sites again in 2024. We will start releasing more information in January but in case you want to block some of that hard earned vacation time in advance, some of the dates are locked in on our Future Championship Schedule.
I hope everyone has a great holiday season and we will see you in 2024.
Bill
