Meet the 2025 NYSGA Interns

June 09, 2025

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. -- Each season, the New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) welcomes seasonal interns as part of the United States Golf Association’s (USGA) P.J. Boatwright Jr Internship Program. The program was established in 1991 across all Allied Golf Associations in North America, and presently runs in all fifty states. The program is designed to provide entry-level experience to college students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting golf associations in promoting amateur golf within their state or region.

The group of interns are exposed to tournament preparation and setup, event administration and management, developing many essential skills unique to golf administration. In addition, the NYSGA also hires a Communications Intern to help manage content creation and coverage of New York State’s amateur golf tournaments, championships and other special projects throughout the season.

Many former interns across the country and within the NYSGA’s ranks have moved into full-time positions and achieved success within golf and the world of sports and entertainment.
