Maggy Stewart Hired as Manager of Marketing and Creative Content
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. -- The New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) has hired Maggy Stewart as the Manager of Marketing & Creative Content.
In this new position, Stewart will work to enhance the overall marketing efforts and manage the NYSGA’s online presence; including database management, email communications, website development and maintenance, graphic design, digital advertising and multimedia production.
"I have a love for New York State and the incredible community and camaraderies that come with local and statewide amateur sports — growing up as a junior athlete in Central New York and participating in leagues is something I hope to pass on to my own children,” mentioned Stewart. “I'm looking forward to utilizing my professional skill set and portfolio to enhance & reinvigorate the state's presence as a leader in the golf industry.”
Stewart comes from a background in graphic, web, video & email design; site & SEO management. Prior to joining the NYSGA, she worked at the Onondaga County Convention & Visitors/Syracuse Film Bureau as Marketing Technology Manager. She began her professional career as Marketing Assistant & Graphic Designer at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse.
While earning her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts with a minor in Journalism/Communications & Philosophy at SUNY Oswego, she worked on the grounds crew at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville. That experience served as her introduction to golf and sparked her interest in the game.
“We are excited to increase the NYSGA’s marketing efforts and continue to grow our membership, reach new audiences within our community, and provide more value to New York State golfers. Maggy has unique skills and valuable experience that align with what we are looking to accomplish going forward,” said Dan Thompson, Director of Marketing & Partnerships.
