Moloney trailed going into the final two rounds by two strokes with an opening round of 69 (1 under par). After round one, he turned it on posting a three under round and five birdies.

Entering the final 18 holes, he had a three shot lead and just kept pouring the birdies in, with a stretch of four consecutive from holes 9-12.

“It means a lot to me, I played great all week and it was a great event so it was amazing to come on top,” Moloney said. “My putter was probably the best, I think that is what you really need out there. There’s a lot of long holes and you're not going to be able to put it close every single time.”

With this championship win he is now exempt into the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas. Moloney will be playing Division I golf next year at Loyola Maryland.

The win also earns him an exemption into the 102nd New York State Men’s Amateur at Yahnundasis Golf Club, July 8-10.

The round one leader Jackson Soroney, of Drumlins Golf Club finished as the runner up with a final round of 69 (1 under), and two-under for the Championship. He won the NYSPHSAA Boys' Golf Championship earlier this summer.

Brody Burgess, from Cobblestone Creek Country Club had the lowest round of the tournament posting a round of 66 (four-under) in the second round and ended up finishing at two over for solo fourth. Jack Teabeau out of Wanakah Country Club finished solo fifth at three-over. YiWen Wang, of MET PGA Junior Golf Club finished at four-over and solo sixth.
