Tanner LaTorre of NYSGA eClub - Capital Region fired a one under 70 to prevail in the Boys' 14U. Beginning the day one behind 18 hole leader Francisco Cupp, LaTorre delivered four birdies in the near-flawless performance. Despite a late push by Cupp who narrowed the lead to one with one left to play, LaTorre hung on with a clinching bogey on 18. The 14 year-old made a total of ten birdies across the two rounds and was the only player in either field to finish at or under par both days. The champion went 70-70 and finished at two under.

"This was a tournament I was looking forward to and wanted to win," said LaTorre in a post-round interview. "It feels great to get it done."

Cupp, of Saratoga Golf & Polo was unable to maintain his momentum after an opening round 69 (-2). He made three bogeys in his first five holes on Friday, before settling down and nearly forcing a playoff with LaTorre thanks to a one under back nine. Cupp fell just short with a bogey on 18 and finished his tournament at one under par.

Finishing in solo third was Ethan Domajnko of Cobblestone Creek Country Club. The co-runner up at the 2023 tournament carded a final-round 70 (-1) and wrapped up his tournament at one over par. Thomas Goodelle of NYSGA eClub - Central NY and Colin McAskin of Wykagyl Country Club finished T4 at two over par.

Wasik, who remained within striking distance of the lead through 27 holes, chipped in for Eagle on the 9th hole and assumed position at the top of the leaderboard. 18 hole leader Katlynn Smith made a double bogey on the hole, coming out on the wrong end of a four shot swing on the signature Par 5. The 12-year-old Wasik added three birdies to go along with the eagle and finished five under in her last 12 holes. The 73-68 tournament left Wasik at one under par, giving her a seven stroke win.

"It was definitely a battle on the golf course today," said Wasik moments after the trophy ceremony. "I'm proud of myself for staying focused and getting it done. It means a lot to me to win this."

Smith, of Rip Van Winkle Country Club, was unable to get back on track, ultimately carding a final-round 77 (+6). The fifth place finisher at the 2024 NYS Women's Amateur Championship concluded her tournament in solo second at six over par.

Behind Smith was Nina Dahl of Youth On Course - MGA, who turned in a 79-73 tournament to finish at ten over. Alexa Trapani of Apple Greens Golf Club wrapped up her tournament in fourth place at eleven over.
