Past NYSGA President Jack Donovan Dies at 73
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. - The NYSGA family suffered the sudden loss of long-time member and past president Jack Donovan. Jack, a retired math teacher who taught in the Rochester City School District for over 32 years, is survived by Linda, his wife of 51 years, his two children Kevin and Shanley, and three grandchildren.
Jack was a current member of the NYSGA Executive Committee, serving as the second vice-president, but his passion was in his role as the NYSGA Foundation Chairman. He found his voice in support of junior golf, working to secure funding for programs throughout upstate New York.
The Donovan family will receive friends Thursday, February 21st (4-7pm) at the Harris Funeral Home in Rochester (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, February 22nd (10am) at Spiritus Christi Church for his funeral mass.
