Jack Corcoran Hired as Manager of Regional Associations & Junior Golf
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. -- The New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) is pleased to announce Jack Corcoran as the new Manager of Regional Associations & Junior Golf.
Corcoran, a 2024 USGA P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern began this new role in December. He now oversees tournament operations for Regional Golf Associations (RGA) across the state, including Syracuse, Buffalo, Capital Region, and the Triple Cities. He will also provide operational oversight for other NYSGA-supported competitions outside of these regions.
Corcoran will spearhead initiatives in junior golf with a focus on expanding the strength and visibility of the NYS Junior Championships. He will also play an important role in junior development programs such as Youth On Course and Team New York.
“We’re thrilled to have Jack Corcoran in this role,” said Andrew Hickey, Assistant Executive Director. “Jack recently completed the NYSGA’s seasonal internship and worked with the Syracuse District Golf Association to run their tournament schedule. He quickly proved to be an asset to both our organizations and was a clear fit for this position.”
“I’m very excited to contribute to the growth of amateur and junior golf in our state,” said Corcoran. “My internship experience was amazing and allowed me to develop my skills while I also gained a strong familiarity with the amateur golf landscape in New York. I look forward to building on that momentum in this role."
Before joining the NYSGA, Corcoran served as the Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the New York Mets Triple-A Affiliate, where he demonstrated his ability to oversee complex operations and provide high-level organizational support.
He earned a Master’s in Sports Administration from Northwestern University from 2021-2023, and a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from SUNY Cortland as well. He is from nearby Camillus, New York.
