Established initially as a nine-hole course, it was designed by Donald Ross in 1912 before he returned eight years later to add the second nine. Glens Falls has previously hosted seven NYSGA championships, including four majors (1960 Women’s Am, 1962 Men’s Am, 2002 Boys’ & Girls’ 18U Junior Am), a pair of Men’s Mid-Amateurs (the inaugural site in 1984, 2009) and the 2002 Boys’ 14U Junior Amateur.

NYS Women’s Amateur Championship | July 20-21, Pinehaven CC

The 96th NYS Women’s Amateur heads to Pinehaven CC, long-standing host of the Epson Tour’s Twin Bridges Championship. The Club has welcomed three major championships (1998 & 2008 Men’s Am, 2002 Women’s Am). Twenty-four years ago, when Pinehaven hosted its last Women’s Amateur in 2002, Megan Grehan made history as the youngest-ever champion at 13 years old. Additionally, Pinehaven has hosted two Senior Women’s Amateur championships (1991, 2021).

NYS Boys’ & Girls’ 18U Junior Amateur Championship | June 30-July 1, Cavalry Club

Central New York’s Cavalry Club plays host to its fourth-ever NYS championship, the 84th NYS Boys’ & 63rd Girls’ 18U Junior Amateur Championships. The Club’s rich history traces back to 1904, born from the response to the Spanish American War as the mounted Cavalry Troop. Initially established as a cavalry training facility, then renamed to the Troop Farm and later becoming the Cavalry Veterans of Syracuse, Inc. in 1946, the Club has since evolved into a social club and award-winning golf course that is celebrating its 60-year anniversary in 2026.
