It marks Zigrossi and Gresham’s second women’s four-ball title together (they won in 2021 at Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club). Last year, Gresham was unable to participate in the event, while Zigrossi continued the trend with Victoria Leach (Transit Valley CC) at Stafford Country Club.
This is Zigrossi’s fourth state title in the past three years, winning three-in-a-row at the state four-ball championships along with the NYS Girls’ Junior in 2021 at Seven Oaks GC.
“We picked off where the other one left off,” said Zigrossi, talking about how they were able to stay consistent throughout the day. “I was really excited to get back together and play together.”
Zigrossi and Greshman were solid all day, both posting 76 on their own ball and shooting 2-under 74 as a team with three collective birdies on the card.
“I love the four-ball,” said Zigrossi about her winning three-times in a row. “There are really not that many opportunities to play in a four-ball type of event so I really enjoy doing that and to play with Emily.”
Gresham will return to Methodist University for her junior season while Zigrossi will start her collegiate career at James Madison University in August.
Gresham and Zigrossi were grouped together with inaugural (2018) champions Amanda and Samantha Gaffney (Brookfield CC) who finished in second at 7-over 81.
Michelle and Jessica Ricciardi (NYSGA eClub – CNY) were the net winners at 2-under par.

The thirty nine-team NYS Women’s Senior Amateur Four-Ball saw Sandra Jackson (Whippoorwill Club) and Ingrid Narken (Thendara GC) win with a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Nikki Fowler (Stone Creek GC) and Deborah Enders (Foxfire GC) finished in second, after tying the winning duo at 4-under 70.
Jackson and Narken were not only determined in their round of 70 today, but they wanted to make sure that the playoff did not go past the first hole.
“The course was in great shape and I thought the greens were running terrific,” said Narken about how they were able to play great golf.
Jackson stepped up to her second shot where she was able to run the ball up to 3 feet and give themselves an easy tap-in for the win.
“We played well as a team together and only had one hole where we dropped a shot,” said Jackson on their set goals.
2022 champion Janice Lavigne (Ravenwood Golf Club) and her new partner Maggie Flynn (Oak Hill Country Club) were in a tie for fifth with 2018 and 2019 senior champions Teresa Cleland (Bellevue CC) and Carina Watkins (Beaver Meadows Golf Club) at 1-under 73.
The net winners were Corning Country Club’s Cassie Neally and Janice Lobdell, who finished at 9-under 65.
