Fickes and Grzywacz Earn Medalist Honors at 10th U.S. Four-Ball Qualifying
CLARENCE, NY -- Sectional qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship was conducted by the New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) at Brookfield Country Club on Tuesday, October 1.

Forty sides (80 players) competed for two qualifying places and two alternate positions into next year's championship, which will be hosted by Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey.
The side of Josh Fickes and Brandon Grzywacz of the Carolinas medaled at 10-under 62, collecting ten birdies and no bogeys on the William Harries design. Grzywacz is originally from Holley, NY and was an intern for the NYSGA in 2017. He played college golf at Roberts Wesleyan.
Cory Cullen and Andrew Romano of Buffalo secured the second spot at 9-under 63. They birdied their final three holes to punch their ticket, and had nine total during the round.
Three sides tied at 8-under, and were forced to playoff for the alternate positions. Billy Hanes and Jamie Miller of Buffalo/Silver Creek secured First Alternate with a birdie on the opening hole, No. 1. Hanish Nagrani of Canada and Nolan Vonkalckreuth of Zimbabwe birdied No. 2 to earn Second Alternate over Canada's Kevin Fawcett and Charles Fitzsimmons.
The course setup at 6,973 yards and played to a par of 72.
