In the 7th NYS Men's Amateur Four-Ball Championship, Crag Burn's Jeff Wolniewicz and Jonathan Clark teamed up to win by a stroke over Billy & Daniel Hanes, also of Crag Burn GC, and Jim Gifford of Mohawk GC & Dan Russo of Schuyler Meadows. They started the day three back of first round leaders Alex Misiti & James Tee of Shelridge CC, and were slow to make up ground on the leaders, starting 1-under through their first nine holes. The duo from Buffalo caught fire on their way back in, finishing with six birdies on their final nine holes for a 7-under 65. This is the second Four-Ball Championship win for both Wolniewicz and Clark, but first playing together. Wolniewicz won in 2016 with Billy Gaffney, and Clark's win came in 2013 with Matt Stasiak.
In the 6th NYS Men's Senior Amateur Championship, Clifton Spring's Kevin Webb and Canasawacta's Robert Branham fired a final round 66 to win by two over the teams of James Castle of Seven Oaks CC & Steve Wall of Cortland CC and Jim Rogers Mark Twain GC & Donald Van Gorder of Newman Muni GC. Their final round of 6-under 66 included an eagle two on the 254 yard par-4 14th hole.
