Chartrand Earns Qualifying Medalist at U.S. Senior Women's Qualifier at Bellevue
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Helene Chartrand of Canada was the lone player to advance to the 62nd U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship through sectional qualifying at Bellevue Country Club.

The native of Pincourt, Quebec turned in an 82 (+10) to secure her spot in the national championship. Chartrand, who won the 2014 Canadian Women's Senior Amateur, finished three strokes clear of the field. She has made upwards of a half a dozen U.S. Senior Women's appearances and earned co-medallist honors alongside Lara Tennant in 2017.
Kendra Muir of Pinehurst, N.C. carded an 85 (+13) to earn the first alternate spot. Syracuse's Teresa Cleland, playing at her home course of Bellevue grabbed the second alternate position with an 86 (+14).
Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle, Washington will serve as the host to this year's U.S. Senior Women's Amateur.
