Cameron Young Set to Make Third U.S. Open Appearance

June 15, 2022

(Update June 18) - A late push on Friday was not enough to propel Scarborough native Cameron Young to make the cut at the U.S. Open.

Young finished at 4-over 72-72 after the first two rounds at The Country Club and missed the cut by only a stroke.

He surged late in the second round in hopes of making his first U.S. Open cut. After a shaky start Friday, Young bounced back with three birdies and an ace in a four hole stretch on the back nine (#5, #6, #7, and #8).

Ultimately, the late effort was not enough to advance him into the weekend. He has now failed to make the cut in each of his three U.S. Open appearances.
