Bailey Shoemaker Invited to 2022 Augusta National Women's Amateur
(UPDATE 4/1) -- After inclement weather delayed the start of Round 2 on Thursday, the field was finally able to start play after 3pm at the Champions Retreat Golf Club. This ensured that many players would be unable to finish and have to resume on Friday morning. Shoemaker finished 15 holes before darkness hit on Thursday evening. On Friday morning, she closed out her round for a 75. Her two-round total was 151, just a stroke shy of getting into a 4-for-1 playoff for the final advancing spot. The top 30 who made the cut will play a final round at Augusta National on Saturday to decide this year's champion.

She started off on the tenth hole, and secured the lone birdie of her round on her final hole, the ninth. She sits six strokes off the first-round lead, and will try to push into the top 30 after tomorrow's round to make the 36-hole cut.
