Entry is open to any male amateur golfer that meets the following requirements:

| Entry Fee | |
| The entry fee to qualify for this championship is $100. All players advancing through the qualifying stage will be required to pay an additional championship fee of $50 for a total entry fee of $150. All exempt players will pay the full $150 fee. | |
| Entry Deadline | |
| All entries must be submitted to the NYSGA by 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Entries received by telephone, fax or email will not be accepted. Late and/or incomplete entries will not be accepted. | |
| Format and Schedule | |
The competition will be conducted in two stages, at stroke play: |

1. Local Qualifying: 18 holes, for all non-exempt entrants. 2. Championship: 54 holes, with a cut after 18 and 36 holes to the low 60 and 30 players (and ties), respectively. |

| The lowest scorer after 54 holes will be the Champion. A tie for the championship will be played off immediately, hole by hole, until a champion is determined. | |

Qualifying spots will be determined shortly after the close of entries. Pairings will be released to all competitors via email as soon as they are available. |

| Conditions and Schedules | |
| The NYSGA reserves the right to amend or alter any of the conditions, provisions, or schedules included in the championship's entry. The decision of the NYSGA in any matter pertaining to the playing of this championship shall be final. |
