Westport C.C. - After heavy rains overnight, Westport CC had wet conditions on July 24 for the third NYSGA State Day Tournament of 2008. Emerging from the field to win his second low gross honors in as many tournaments was Andrew Donatello from Lake Placid Club. Donatello, a 7.1 Index, shot a two-over par 73 to beat Cody Roberts from North Country GC who posted a 77.
The low net award went to Patrick Agostino from Pioneer Hills GC in Ballston Spa. Agostino, a 36.4 Index completed his round in 100 shots, for a net score of 64. This bested Donatello (net 65) by one and Vern Lewis, a 14.4 Index, of Westport CC by four strokes.

The next State Day Tournament will be held Wednesday, August 13 at Town of Colonie GC in Schenectady. The entry fee is $30. Call the pro shop on 518-374-4852 to reserve a tee time.
